Job summary

National Health Foundation in Arleta, CA is seeking a Guest Services Associate for the swing shift to provide a hospitable, safe, and healthy environment for recuperative care guests. The role reports to the Program Coordinator and requires coordinating with nursing and social services on-site.

The position offers a full-time schedule Thursday through Monday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a starting hourly rate of $18.50 and requires background checks, TB testing, and a Live Scan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years caregiver experience in healthcare or recuperative care.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work five 8-hour shifts per week.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• TB test and fingerprint live scan/background check required.
• Current BLS certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of recuperative care facility; conduct daily facility and equipment inspections; conduct constant room checks.
• Perform guest intake responsibilities, ensuring guests are greeted and oriented to program guidelines; develop rapport with guests and gather feedback.
• Create, lead, and/or implement engagement activities; build rapport and trust with guests; attend to guest requests.
• Assist nursing, social services and external partners with guest appointments on-site or check-ins.
• Assist management in maintaining bed availability and documentation.
• Assist staff with supplies inventory check/log.
• Maintain accurate record keeping including shift notes, incident reports, Emergency Action Plan drills, etc.
• Respond to guest concerns with positive intervention encounters.
• Attend meetings and trainings aligned with the role (e.g., shift hand-off, BLS, Crisis Prevention, Trauma Informed Care, DEI).
• Perform laundry, boutique, mealtime duties and housekeeping when needed.
• Be flexible to schedule changes and additional shifts; adhere to dress code and NHF policies.
• Perform additional assignments to meet facility needs.
