Job summary

Atlantic Health Strategies, on behalf of Resilience Behavioral Health in Union, New Jersey, is seeking an Evening Group Facilitator for our 6:00 PM–9:00 PM program. This per-group role focuses on leading structured sessions in a clinical setting to support clients navigating mental health and substance use challenges.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in a related field and active NJ licensure, with experience in group therapy and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• Active, independent licensure in New Jersey.
• Experience facilitating group therapy or psychoeducational groups.
• Familiarity with IOP or similar levels of care is a plus.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to complete progress notes and records accurately and on time.
• Ability to engage and connect with a diverse client population in a group setting.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead group therapy sessions as scheduled within the evening IOP program.
• Prepare and deliver structured, evidence-informed group content tailored to the needs of the client population.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each group session, including progress notes and attendance records.
• Complete all required reports in accordance with program, organizational, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care and alignment with individual treatment goals.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and therapeutic group environment that promotes client engagement and recovery.
