Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of department products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality, freshness, dates, and take action when needed.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and provide fresh products.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures and maintain temperature logs in cases and coolers.
• Report safety risks and accidents to management.
• Notify management of any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair.
• Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
