Job summary

Aalberts Surface Technologies Fairforest is seeking a Furnace Operator to run furnace equipment and support the heat-treating process. You will set up machines, verify furnace settings, monitor operations, load/unload setups and adjust parameters to meet daily production schedules.

Responsibilities include operating related equipment such as cranes and forklifts, maintaining logs, following safety rules, and coordinating with shop staff to achieve team goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; furnace/heat-treating experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office to document logs and reports.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare machines according to daily production schedules.
• Verify furnace settings and monitor shift operations.
• Load, unload, and adjust equipment; operate cranes, forklifts and power tools as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and ensure safe, compliant work environment.
• Follow safety rules (OSHA, MTI, SDS) and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Coordinate with internal departments and outside shops for fixtures and special machining.
