Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including medical software.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other programs.
• Over three years of related health care experience including working with third-party payers preferred.
• CHAM or CHAA encouraged.
• Must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or eligible for exemption by signing a statement.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient registration, insurance verification, pre-registration, and point of service collections.
• Provide financial counseling referrals and Medicare compliance support.
• Manage valuables and morgue coordination as part of administrative duties.
• Deliver on-site coverage at public arrival desks and the Emergency Department.
• Coordinate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
