Qualifications

• Four years of high school plus additional courses or training required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software preferred.
• Over three years health care experience including third party payers preferred.
• Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient registration, insurance verification, pre-registration and point-of-service collections.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and educate on financial counseling referrals.
• Medicare compliance (IM and MOON forms), valuables management, and morgue coordination.
• Provide on-site coverage at public arrival desks and in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with clinical and revenue cycle teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality service.
