Job summary

Select Medical Auburn is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support our outpatient physical therapy center. You will be the friendly first point of contact, handling front-desk operations and coordinating patient flow throughout visits.

The role is part-time with evening shifts, offering a chance to contribute to patient experiences while gaining exposure to healthcare operations and billing processes in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
