Job summary

Project HOME is seeking a part-time Receptionist at Ray Homes in Philadelphia. You will greet staff, residents, contractors and guests, monitor access, answer phones, and perform basic clerical tasks while maintaining a welcoming, safe environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer phones with courtesy and clarity.
• Monitor building access and verify credentials for staff and guests.
• Maintain visitor log and require photo ID as needed.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as typing, filing, and deliveries.
• Support room setups for community space meetings and events.
• Document shift summaries and share during shift changes.
• Respond to urgent situations using calm de-escalation techniques.
