Job summary

Element Overland Park – Leawood is seeking a friendly, professional Front Desk Agent for a full-time evening shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). You will warmly greet guests, check them in and out, handle reservations, and provide local recommendations to ensure a memorable stay.

You’ll manage payments, answer inquiries, coordinate with housekeeping, and assist guests with special requests in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, welcoming and able to engage with guests.
• Professional and dependable in a fast-paced environment.
• Sales-minded with ability to upsell hotel services/upgrades.
• Able to multitask and stay organized during busy shifts.
• Comfortable handling cash and card transactions.
• Strong verbal and written communication with guests and staff.
• Willing to learn hotel systems and procedures.
• Availability for the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift.
• Flexible to cover additional shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide professional service.
• Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
• Register guests, assign rooms, and accommodate special requests.
• Process payments and follow standard cash-handling procedures.
• Answer phones and use telephone etiquette.
• Assist guests with questions and local recommendations.
• Take reservations and understand cancellation policies.
• Understand room types, rates, and hotel amenities.
• Suggest room upgrades and hotel services.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping on status and requests.
• Report issues to management and escalate when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk area.
