Job summary

Forward Air Corporation in Irving, TX, is seeking a Freight Handler to support loading, unloading, staging, and documentation of cargo. You’ll operate forklifts and other MHE, maintain safety, and assist with warehouse workflow in a dynamic dock environment.

The role requires a valid forklift certification, 3+ years dock/warehouse experience, and strong English communication. You will work Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm, with overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
• Valid forklift certification/licensure or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to recognize numbers, labels, barcodes, and freight markings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight to ensure accuracy.
