Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking a Cargo Handler in Irving, Texas, for our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. As a Freight Handler, you will load and unload freight on trailers, ensuring safety and timeliness. Frequent lifting and operation of equipment are required.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Must be flexible for shifts and able to lift up to 90 pounds. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the loading/unloading of 53 ft. commercial trailers.
• Use handheld scanners to track freight.
• Accurately label boxes for shipment.
• Safely load and unload trailers.
• Verify documentation and condition of freight.
