Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is hiring a Cargo Handler for our Phoenix, AZ facility. The role involves loading and unloading freight from 53 ft trailers, using scanners, labeling boxes, and preparing shipments. You will operate equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts, and may need forklift certification.

Regularly lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally 90 lbs. Shift: 2PM–10PM, Monday–Friday. We require strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload 53 ft trailers and operate scanners.
• Use handheld scanners to track and maneuver freight.
• Label boxes and prepare freight for shipment.
• Safely load/unload with hand trucks/pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Obtain forklift certification and operate machinery as required.
• Verify freight documentation and conditions to meet standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 90 lbs occasionally.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
