Responsibilities include operating forklifts, using pallets and straps, coordinating through the Dock Yard Management System, and maintaining accurate handling of shipments while meeting customer delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Safe and efficient lifting and transporting procedures knowledge.
• Familiarity with freight movement forms (shipping orders, manifests, freight bills).
• Ability to monitor shipment locations using dock yard management systems.
• Must be available to meet customer schedules and operate a handheld tablet when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift, pallet jack, or manually per DOT guidelines.
• Use various loading techniques, including tight or cross loading.
• Transport self and freight within the service center on non-forgiving surfaces.
• Monitor freight locations with the Dock Yard Management System.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and freight documents.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
