Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a Production Mill Operator to operate and maintain production areas in the flour mill under the Head Miller/Shift Miller. The role supports Mennel’s tradition of quality and food safety, delivering consistent flour quality, and reliable service.

This 8-hour shift (3pm–11pm) may require weekend work and holidays. Candidates should have a HS diploma, 1–3 years milling experience, and be able to pass a respirator fit test while following safety, sanitation, and

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years flour milling/food production experience preferred.
• Pass a respirator fit test and work with respirator.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to complete assignments.
• Understand material flow through production processes.
• Maintain open communication with internal/external customers.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP, OSHA, HACCP and FDA-related safety rules and sanitation guidelines; keep audit-ready condition.
• Coordinate flour transfers with Head Miller and quality/spec requirements.
• Perform quality checks and testing on flour transfers.
• Assist with mill changes, daily operations, and equipment maintenance.
• Support training of Mill Utility personnel and cover Head Miller duties when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow SOPs.
• Attend required training sessions and implement approved procedures.
