Johnny's Speakeasy in Royal Oak, MI is seeking a confident, organized Host & Floor Lead for Thursday–Saturday evenings. You will oversee the door, reservations, and guest flow, taking ownership of the reservation book and floor during service to ensure a welcoming, polished experience from arrival.

Ideal candidates are experienced in high-volume hospitality, able to communicate clearly with servers and management, and comfortable making decisions to keep service moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• Restaurant hosting or floor leadership experience preferred
• Strong multitasking and time management
• Excellent guest service skills with a calm demeanor

Responsibilities

• Oversee door, reservations and guest flow Thursday–Saturday evenings
• Manage busy reservation book and guest flow; review reservations before service
• Lead the floor during service; coordinate with servers, bartenders and management
• Read reservation notes and special requests; communicate effectively with team
• Address issues promptly and escalate when necessary; ensure swift, courteous resolutions
• Assist with closing responsibilities 1–2 nights per weekend
• Maintain awareness of the entire room and adjust seating to balance workload
