Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of construction and heavy equipment across assigned locations. The role emphasizes equipment reliability and preventative maintenance with field-based repair services.

This position requires availability for afternoon/evening hours (1:00 PM to 10:00 PM), a strong safety mindset, and a minimum of a high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy equipment (crushers, conveyors, loaders, excavators, dozers, haul trucks).
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and diesel engine systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services.
• Respond to field service calls and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance records.
• Maintain inventory of service truck parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
• Communicate status and repair recommendations with operations and maintenance teams.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and major rebuilds.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
