Job summary

Cape Henry Collegiate’s Operations Department is seeking a dependable and skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support the school’s mission and daily operations. This role provides hands-on, experienced support to the facilities team with emphasis on electrical and plumbing systems.

Full-time, 12-month schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:00pm–9:30pm, with occasional overtime for events or emergencies. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain campus buildings and equipment while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of commercial, institutional, or similar building-maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, with ability to troubleshoot safely.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial building systems with emphasis on electrical and plumbing.
• Troubleshoot lighting, switches, receptacles, breakers, fixtures, drains, toilets, faucets, valves and water heaters.
• Perform general carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring and related repairs.
• Prioritize and complete work orders based on safety and campus needs.
• Support campus events with setup and breakdown and equipment moves.
• Maintain safe, organized work areas and follow applicable codes and procedures.
