Job summary

Northeast Community College is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to support the repair and general maintenance of college facilities, buildings, and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to respond to emergencies during off hours as needed.

The technician will assist physical plant staff, read blueprints, handle refrigeration-related work, and perform safety-conscious maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year required.
• Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
• Willingness to be trained and align with the College’s mission, vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and plumbing work related to refrigeration and temperature control equipment.
• Repair and replacement of existing electrical fixtures and completing repairs on minor equipment.
• Basic HVAC knowledge applied to facilities.
