Job summary

Sam Houston State University is seeking Non-Exempt Events Support Staff for internal candidates only. These are temporary, day/evening assignments supporting athletic and other university events, with pay at time and a half for overtime.

Positions are short-term and scheduled by host departments, outside of regular hours, and may require standing for long periods and lifting at least 25 lbs. Eligibility is limited to current SHSU full-time, non-exempt staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a current SHSU full-time, non-exempt staff employee.
• Internal candidates only; UPD staff and exempt employees are not eligible.
• Temporary, short-term assignments, usually day/evening events.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event operations and attendee flow during after-hours events.
• Specific tasks determined by host department.
