Job summary

Sam Houston State University is seeking a Specialist I for the Johnson Coliseum to perform entry-level specialist duties within the Athletics department. This is a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position, working 19 hours or less per week.

You will assist in planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring services for the coliseum, coordinate student employee hiring, training and schedules, and help with data collection and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED; college courses in management/public safety/communications desirable.
• Experience in a related field preferred.
• A combination of education and training could be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring services for Johnson Coliseum.
• Coordinate student employee hiring, training, and evaluations; manage schedules and timesheets.
• Assist in data collection, reporting, and policy development; support graduation day operations.
