Job summary

Loudoun County Government’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services seeks a Custodian/Maintenance Worker for the Ashburn location to assist with events and general upkeep, indoors and outdoors. Responsibilities include daily inspections, waste management, and cleaning of restrooms, locker rooms, kitchens, and other areas, with emphasis on safety and customer service.

The position supports evening shifts (1 pm–9 pm or 12 noon–8 pm) with some weekend work; a valid driver's license is required, and

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prefer six (6) months of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Prioritizing health, safety, and customer satisfaction of all customers; assist with questions and concerns.
Assisting with room setup/takedown for activities and special events; arrange tables and chairs.
Indoor and outdoor housekeeping, trash, and debris removal.
Operate outdoor ground maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with emergency response and snow/ice removal.
Transporting vehicles for general purposes to designated locations.
Undertake other vital duties related to the position and department assignment.
