Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a facilities custodian to maintain outdoor athletic fields, practice areas, and spectator spaces, ensuring neat appearance and sanitary interior spaces for events. The role includes seasonal snow removal and assisting custodial staff as needed to keep campuses safe and ready for competitions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating custodial equipment and understanding safe procedures.
• Ability to adapt to athletic seasons and varying shifts.
• Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining athletic and indoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintains outdoor athletic facilities: fields, spectator areas, and clean surroundings.
• Prepares fields for events, marks fields, drags infields, waters and cleans surfaces.
• Sets up indoor spaces for events; opens/closes bleachers and adjusts backboards as needed.
• Performs safety checks on grandstands and maintains minor repairs and cleaning.
• Dust mops gym floors, cleans team locker rooms, training rooms, and officials spaces.
• Checks and refills toilet paper, towels, and soap dispensers.
