Job summary

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, active TX licensure as CNA/EMT/Medical Assistant, and current BLS. Hospital experience is preferred; bilingual abilities are valued.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience as ED Technician or related preferred.
• Able to adjust and/or troubleshoot monitoring equipment and computer equipment.
• Requires reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Requires working with frequent interruptions.
• Exhibits tact, enthusiasm, and patience.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• High degree of competency/experience in general.
• Requires good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others.
• Ordering paper products and medical supplies for unit.
• Maintaining log of assignments for ER techs and assigning room duties at start of shift.
• Active participation in direct patient care and ensuring a safe environment.
• Responds to patients’ needs in a timely manner.
• Transports patients as needed and assists in admission.
