Job summary

Mercy Hospital on W Memorial Rd in Norman, OK is seeking an RN to provide patient-centered care evenings (1pm-1am) in the Emergency Department. You will apply the nursing process, document care, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Licensure: Ensure current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements: Push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing and walking; ability to reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
