Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Emergency Department RN for evening shifts (1pm-1am) in Oklahoma. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week and demands use of the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure (state or compact), BLS certification, and ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds. Applications welcomed from new graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Maintain current RN licensure in hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire; ability to lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
