Job summary

The Wilmington Group is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator for the Haw River facility on the 2nd shift (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with extended hours as needed). The role involves operating forklifts and skid steers to load/unload materials and move them within the plant, while maintaining safety and production productivity.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant equipment experience, mechanical maintenance skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience operating skid steers, forklifts, or similar mobile equipment
• Familiarity with heavy industrial or recycling environments is a plus
• Experience performing basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting is strongly preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Following all plant safety guidelines
• Operating equipment in furtherance of the facility's objectives using forklifts to load/unload material and skid steers to move materials
• Ensuring accuracy and quality of materials loaded on trailers
• Documenting inventory and activity including quantities and weights
• Performing pre- and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and reporting mechanical or operational issues
