Scholastic Inc. is seeking a Power Equipment Operator for a 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

shift at our North Carolina facility. The role involves operating forklifts and related equipment to move product, while maintaining strict inventory accuracy and safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift training certification, and at least 1 year of power equipment operation experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
• For non-internal promotions, candidates must have a minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience.
• Requires satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and able to get along with coworkers.
• Good verbal/written communication skills and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other power equipment to move inventory within the facility.
• Follow OSHA and facility safety rules, wearing PPE as required.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts as needed.
• Complete Labor Data Collection Cards according to company standards.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks and seasonal inventory resets as required.
