Job summary

Camden County College seeks a Temporary Part-time Electrical Residential Instructor to teach at Camden County Technical School in Sicklerville, NJ. The role involves delivering hands-on and classroom instruction in electrical residential curricula using approved materials and industry standards.

The position requires 5 years of field experience, effective communication, and classroom management. OSHA 10, NJ Journeyman Electrician license or NCCER certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the field.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Proficient written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, complete student evaluations, document student progress and email students and staff.
• Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal communication skills for classroom instruction and student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with the approved curriculum on a daily basis.
• Develop lesson plans that support student learning outcomes and workforce readiness.
• Organize and maintain instructional materials, tools, equipment, and supply inventories.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, including grading and attendance tracking.
• Provide timely, accurate, and constructive feedback on student performance, behavior and participations.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry standards, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and integrate this knowledge into daily instruction.
• Demonstrate the proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student behavior and instructional progress.
• Model professionalism, reliability, and respect to contribute to a positive school culture.
