Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Access ED Registrar for our Emergency Department in Maryland. You will originate patient records, verify insurance, and help meet service and collection goals while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year of healthcare office experience, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year hospital or doctor’s office experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in high volume, fast paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate a patient medical record and account number by accurately keying demographic, financial and clinical information into the host system.
• Complete insurance verification to maximize reimbursement.
• Achieve Point of Service collection goals and assist with departmental goals.
• Provide compassionate service and uphold the organization’s critical success factors.
