Job summary

FedEx Freight in Missouri seeks a dock worker to move freight between trailers, load/unload, and ensure accurate paperwork. You will operate forklift and hand trucks, maintain safety, and support customers with freight documentation.

Starting pay is $21.16 per hour with shifts 1700–2300 and 1800–0000. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, plus prior warehousing or forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Experience with hostler/yard mule duties preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle varied weights.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized and manual equipment, including forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description using current system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
