Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock operations associate to transport freight between trailers and the dock area. You will operate forklift and pallet jack, verify freight details, and secure loads for transport.

Responsibilities include processing documentation, assisting customers, and performing hostling duties as needed. Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent; prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred. Starting pay is $21.16/hour, with varying shift times and duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck as needed.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazmat).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup or repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
