Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Dock Worker/Forklift Operator for evenings and part-time shifts. You will load and unload freight, operate a motorized forklift or pallet jack, and ensure freight is secured and labeled correctly to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with safe lifting and transporting procedures.
• Familiarity with freight forms and dock yard systems.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in accordance with DOT guidelines.
• Transport freight within the service center and monitor shipment locations.
• Read and interpret shipping labels and complete freight forms as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets and straps; ensure quality loading.
• Operate docking equipment and assist with basic inventory and inspections.
