Job summary

Challenge Unlimited Inc. in Pontoon Beach, IL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities.

No experience required; paid training is provided to ensure you can deliver compassionate, high-quality care. As a full-time DSP, you will work evenings from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, assist with daily living activities and medication management, provide transportation and community engagement, document resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a criminal background check and state CASAS literacy assessment.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid/CPI training provided within 4 months and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support medication administration and monitor health and safety.
• Maintain a safe living environment and complete required documentation.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Encourage residents toward independence and personal goals.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
