Challenge Unlimited in Edwardsville, IL is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities. No experience required; paid training is provided.

DSPs support ADLs, medication administration, safety, transportation, and community integration in residential settings. Shifts are full-time (2pm-10pm, 3pm-11pm, 4pm-12am) with weekends and some holidays included.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a child abuse & neglect background check.
• Must pass a motor vehicle background check.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• CPR, 1st Aid, CPI training provided by the company must be completed within 4 months and annually thereafter.
• Proficient with computer and typing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with daily living activities including hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, meals, housekeeping and laundry.
• Support residents with medication administration and monitor health and safety.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment (e.g., cleaning, shoveling walks).
• Provide transportation to appointments, shopping trips, and community events.
• Foster a safe, home-like environment and provide emotional support.
• Encourage residents to pursue personal goals and independence.
• Assist with community integration, travel training and life skills development.
• Document services, resident progress, and health-related information accurately.
• Complete required reports and maintain resident records per policies.
• Follow medication procedures, safety protocols and documentation standards.
