Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a human services field may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care and nutritional needs.
• Support individuals in making choices in their lives.
• Ensure individuals’ rights by complying with laws and regulations.
• Provide leisure activities and transport to work, appointments, or recreation.
• Supervise and train staff to act as advocates and demonstrate respect for individuals with disabilities.
• Oversee health and safety by administering medications as needed.
• Communicate health concerns with medical providers and accompany individuals to appointments.
