Job summary

The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services seeks a Direct Care Worker II for the southeastern Residential Services program in Fall River. This full-time evening shift provides direct care and supports to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential setting.

You will assist with habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs, monitor staff, transport individuals to activities, and ensure safety, confidentiality and compliance with agency policies.

Qualifications

One year of full-time or equivalent part-time direct support experience or similar.
MAP training completion and CPR/First Aid certification required.
Driver's license at a class level specific to assignment.

Responsibilities

Assist with habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs.
Perform crisis intervention when necessary.
Transport individuals to work, appointments and outings.
Dispense medications in accordance with laws and regulations.
Meet personal and nutritional needs of individuals.
Maintain confidential records and participate in reviews.
Complete cooking, housekeeping and yard work as required.
