Job summary
Stanford University – Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) seeks a customer‑focused operations leader to oversee on‑site dining, retail, or catering services. You will ensure service excellence, supervise staff, manage unit revenue/expenses, and contribute to menu planning and promotional activities.
Two years of customer service experience and ServSafe CA certification are required. This is a full‑time, on‑site role with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Two years of successful experience in a customer service industry, or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Knowledge of food service management and techniques for an institutionalized operation.
- Ability to supervise a diverse work staff.
Responsibilities
- Uphold customer service standards and resolve inquiries and complaints.
- Collect, input, and review data to guide daily operational decisions and track revenue/expenses.
- Supervise and train front-of-house and kitchen staff; schedule and lead service periods.
- Contribute to menu and marketing development, including special events and seasonal menus.
- Ensure health and safety standards, sanitation, equipment maintenance, and compliance with health codes.
