Job summary

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking a Dining Service Associate for 12:30pm–9:00pm, Monday–Friday, in Lincoln, NE. You will perform kitchen duties, set up stations, and operate the dish machine while supporting multiple dining center tasks.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, weighing and measuring required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain via Safety and Sanitation test.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform kitchen duties including ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling recipes.
• Set up and tear down stations.
• Operate dish machine.
• Build recipes per established processes and guidelines.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and waste.
• Assist in other areas as needed and other duties assigned.
