Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current NJDEP Radiologic Technologist License required.
• ARRT in Radiography required.
• AHA BLS Provider certification required.
• Must complete department orientation and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders to ensure appropriate imaging studies.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate care.
• Apply critical thinking to identify patient concerns.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging per protocols.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Produce high-quality images with proper positioning.
• Evaluate image quality before interpretation submission.
• Use RIS and PACS accurately.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
• Operate fluoroscopic and portable equipment in OR and procedural areas.
• Participate in OR call coverage and rotation.
• Comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
