Job summary

Caswell Developmental Center is hiring a Health Care Technician II (S) to ensure the well‑being of assigned individuals and to implement habilitation plans. The role involves personal care, daily living training, transportation to activities, and documentation.

A conditional $2,500 sign‑on bonus may be offered depending on budget and eligibility. Based at West End Villas, the position supports individuals with developmental needs and requires teamwork, reliability, and a valid NC driver’s

Qualifications

• Knowledge of approved behavioral intervention programs.
• Working knowledge of needs of the population served, medications when required, and documenting client progress and behaviors.
• Ability to communicate clearly to family and team, and relate positively to individuals to meet needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a professional demeanor.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of assigned individuals.
• Implement clients’ habilitation and training plans.
• Assist with personal care, home living, socialization, leisure and safety of individuals.
• Assist in teaching daily living and other skills.
• Transportation of individuals to activities, classes and appointments.
• Shopping with and for individuals.
• Record keeping and documentation.
• Housekeeping chores as specified.
