Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is hiring a Health Care Technician I to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.

The role includes implementing programs to promote independence and requires completing training such as NCI and CPR. Shifts include day, evening, night, and 12-hour options, with a potential sign-on bonus based on budget approval.

Qualifications

• High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Carry out goaled programs to encourage independent functioning in daily living.
• Complete training requirements including NCI, CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting.
