Job summary

SanMar in Ashland, VA is seeking a DC Supervisor to oversee receiving, storage, order fulfillment and shipping, ensuring accurate, timely product movement and reporting to DC leadership. You will coach and develop hourly staff, interview and hire, monitor performance, coordinate daily activities with cross‑functional teams, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast‑paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in warehouse operations required.
• 4–6 years of warehouse experience; 1–3 years in a lead or supervisor role.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus; strong communication skills essential.
• Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantities, labels and SKUs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate daily activities to achieve productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and knowledge goals.
• Oversee distribution center operations to ensure timely and accurate processing and delivery.
• Provide day-to-day direction and development to hourly staff, including coaching and corrective actions.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals and give ongoing feedback.
• Interview and hire new employees; collaborate with other departments to drive productivity.
• Analyze trends and metrics to develop programs and policies; maintain a respectful, inclusive environment.
