Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Loader) at the Harrisburg, PA plant. You will safely operate equipment for handling and producing packaged gas cylinders, load/unload onto route trucks, sort cylinders, and perform labeling and safety checks per regulations.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and at least 1 year of related experience. SAP experience and Excel/Sheets skills are a plus. Shift: 4pm–12:30am; comprehensive benefits and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow safety procedures
• Experience or exposure to industrial loading, labeling, and basic maintenance tasks

Responsibilities

• Load/unload gas cylinders onto/off trucks and trailers using carts
• Sort empty cylinders by type and move cylinders on pallets using a forklift
• Read cylinder labels and color-coding to identify contents and ensure correct labeling
• Handle high‑pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders and prepare for filling
• Perform basic cylinder maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of work areas
• Complete quality control paperwork and comply with DOT, FDA, OSHA and Airgas standards
