Job summary

Airgas in Parkesburg, PA is seeking a Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) to safely fill and prepare high-pressure and medical gas cylinders. You will perform rigorous safety checks, handle cylinders, and maintain compliance with DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and at least 1 year of related technical experience. Experience with SAP or ERP systems is preferred, along with basic Google Suite or MS Office skills.

• Strong math skills for unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and fill gas products into cylinder types (liquid, medical, high pressure) following SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct safety checks (odor tests, caps and valves) and verify cylinder purity and mixes.
• Prepare high-pressure, medical and liquid cylinders for filling; attach to manifold and evacuate cylinders.
• Load/unload cylinders on pallets; operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Maintain accurate records to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards; complete quality control sheets.
