Job summary

Airgas in Parkesburg, PA is hiring a Production Associate (Cylinder Filler) to safely fill and handle gas cylinders in a retail shop setting. You will perform quality checks, manage documentation, and operate warehouse equipment to support compliant cylinder production.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required; Mechanical aptitude.
• Preferred experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or MS Office applications.
• Ability to perform unit conversions and calculations with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Follows Airgas safety programs and OSHA rules applicable to the role.
• Minimum 1 year of related technical experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely handling and filling gas products into cylinders while following procedures.
• Perform safety checks (odor tests, caps/valves) and verify cylinder standards.
• Fill cylinders by pressure and weight, prepare high‑pressure and liquid cylinders, and connect to manifold.
• Load/unload cylinders, operate forklift/pallet jack, and manage warehouse tasks.
• Maintain records per DOT, FDA, OSHA and Airgas standards; complete quality control sheets.
• Read cylinder labels and color codes; ensure proper labeling and content identification.
