Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is hiring a Custodian Lead (2nd Shift) to keep classrooms, public spaces, and facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for students, faculty, and visitors. You will lead by example, train staff, assign daily tasks, and ensure high operational standards on the evening shift.

Working 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, you will handle floor refinishing, event setup, and urgent cleanup, while prioritizing safety and clear communication across the facilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent at time of application.
• Possession of a valid driver's license on appointment.
• Basic computer skills: e-mail and internet.
• Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

• Uses basic equipment to clean assigned areas and manage waste.
• Responds to facility emergencies and hazards per policy.
• Schedules, monitors, and communicates with staff; assists with training.
• Maintains walkways free of debris, snow, and ice.
• Documents repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
• Maintains supply area organization and inventories supplies.
• Monitors and secures entrances and reports issues.
