Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is seeking a Custodian Lead on the 2nd shift to maintain clean, safe, welcoming spaces for students, faculty and visitors. Working Monday through Friday 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

under supervision, you will lead by example, train team members, coordinate daily assignments and uphold high standards. Duties include routine cleaning, floor refinishing, event setup, emergency response, inventory and supply management, and ensuring entrances are secure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent at time of application.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a valid driver's license upon appointment.
• Basic Computer skills including the ability to use e-mail and internet.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
• Responds to facility emergency and hazardous situations, and escalates incidents according to established policies and procedures.
• Schedules, monitors, and communicates with staff and assists with basic training.
• Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.
• Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
• Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed.
• Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities.
