Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role requires following a daily schedule, using PPE, and collaborating with the shift lead and team to meet safety and quality standards.

Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, pay range $15.00–$16.00 per hour. No specific education required; 3–6 months training or experience preferred. Bilingual is a plus, and forklift certification may be required.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
• May be forklift certified.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Carry out repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
• Perform janitorial duties.
