Job summary

Springbrook High School in Silver Spring is seeking a Building Services / Custodial worker for a full-time evening shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). The role is 80 hours bi-weekly, year-round, with overtime as needed.

Wage range is $21.79 to $27.60 per hour based on years of service; benefits information is available via MCPS. Under general supervision, performs cleaning, facilities and grounds maintenance in schools and administrative buildings.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of building and grounds maintenance methods.
• Ability to operate custodial and grounds equipment safely.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior of buildings and maintain school grounds.
• Move or lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Respond to emergencies during inclement weather.
