Montgomery County Public Schools in Silver Spring, MD is seeking an entry-level Building Services/Custodial worker for Sargent Shriver Elementary School. The role covers cleaning, grounds care, and basic facility maintenance during an evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) with 8 hours a day, 12 months per year.

Applicants should have at least a 9th-grade education; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. The position may require overtime or night work and emergency reporting during weather

Qualifikationen

Knowledge of methods and practices of building and grounds work.
Ability to learn to operate and maintain custodial equipment.
Ability to monitor spaces to ensure safety and security.
Basic knowledge of emergency facility response procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and communicate with customers.

Aufgaben

Clean interior of buildings and maintain grounds.
Move or lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
Learn custodial and grounds care equipment operation and maintenance.
Report to buildings during inclement weather as emergency personnel.
Overtime or night work may be required and correct attire/uniforms provided.
